Sunlit Room in Beautiful Victorian Home Midway between Harvard and Central
This sunlit and spacious room, and its large walk-in closet, is on the top floor of a big, beautiful Victorian house. The room can be furnished or unfurnished, your choice. You’d share a well-appointed kitchen, and have your own refrigerator and... shelf space. You’d also have access to a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. There’s high-speed wi-fi throughout the house, and the living room has a big-screen TV with a plethora of streaming services. You’d share your bathroom with one other roommate and occasional family visitors. The house has a backyard and a balcony, and there's usually plenty of on-street parking nearby. Rent, by Cambridge standards, is a steal: $1,200 a month, including all utilities and Internet. Your roommates would be me, my sister and my mother, along with my sister’s partner and their two-year-old daughter and seven-year-old dog. Our mother has late-stage dementia and requires 24/7 care. My sister and I are her primary caregivers, though we do receive short visits from home health aides and nurses five days a week. Your room would be quiet and peaceful, but the house’s common areas can sometimes be pretty bustling, and anyone living here would have to be understanding about the periodic noise and chaos that come with toddlers and dogs. We’d like to start with a month-to-month arrangement. If you think you might be the right fit for us, reach out and let’s arrange a visit.
