This sunlit and spacious room, and its large walk-in closet, is on the top floor of a big, beautiful Victorian house. The room can be furnished or unfurnished, your choice. You’d share a well-appointed kitchen, and have your own refrigerator and... shelf space. You’d also have access to a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. There’s high-speed wi-fi throughout the house, and the living room has a big-screen TV with a plethora of streaming services. You’d share your bathroom with one other roommate and occasional family visitors. The house has a backyard and a balcony, and there's usually plenty of on-street parking nearby. Rent, by Cambridge standards, is a steal: $1,200 a month, including all utilities and Internet. Your roommates would be me, my sister and my mother, along with my sister’s partner and their two-year-old daughter and seven-year-old dog. Our mother has late-stage dementia and requires 24/7 care. My sister and I are her primary caregivers, though we do receive short visits from home health aides and nurses five days a week.
