Cute One-Bedroom in Large Split-Floor Home (9 Seckel St. APT 1)//6-Month Sublet
Subletting my bedroom for 6 months while my partner and I stay in Cambridge while she does a Co-Op in the area. Great spot, close to Inman Sq., 12 minute walk to MIT and the T, short walk to Whole Foods and <20 minute walk to Central Sq (Target,... etc.). House has a main door and separated upstairs and downstairs apartments, each with 4 bedrooms. There is a shared kitchen area upstairs with a stove and microwave, but there is a kitchenette downstairs so the 2 bedrooms downstairs rarely use the kitchen. There is also in-unit laundry downstairs (free of charge). Free parking on York St. (minus street cleaning days) for Cambridge residents without a parking permit (one of the only places I've found you can actually park around here!).
I am a postdoc at MIT (chemical engineering) and have provided additional furniture on top of what is typically provided in the unit (nightstand, dresser, etc.) that I intend to leave for the next tenant. I will be re-signing a year lease and moving back in towards the beginning of January, but subletting from July 1–Jan 1.
Roommates are three other males in their 20s. There are 2 bathrooms: one upstairs and one downstairs, so the room shares the bathroom with another single tenant.
