Bedroom in Cambridge Central Square Urban Oasis Home betw M.I.T. & Harvard

Only available through mid-April. Private bedroom with shared bathroom, living room and kitchen in a beautifully renovated upscale 3 story house in Central Square Cambridge. We are a retired couple renting a first floor bedroom.

We live with our...
cat in a vibrant urban neighborhood steps away from the T, cafes, shops, live theater and music, and Zagat-rated restaurants. Walk 10 minutes to MIT or 20 minutes to Harvard or take the T and be in Harvard Square in 2 minutes.

Rated as a Walker's & Biker's Paradise with Excellent Transit, it is a perfect location for the car-free academic!

Designed by a LEED-certified architect with an eye for natural light and an award-winning lighting designer, it gets its electricity through a 100% Green Renewable Energy program. Another Boston area designer landscaped a magical green garden in spring 2013, completing the creation of what visitors have called 'a little piece of heaven' in the middle of the city.

The bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a Sealy Posturepedic hybrid mattress, desk, dresser, closet and Mitsubishi mini split air conditioning. There is free high caliber Wifi (Internet Gigabit x2 | Download speeds up to 2000 Mbps; Upload speeds up to 200 Mbps). We supply sheets, blankets, quilt, shams and bath towels. The bathroom, living room and kitchen are shared with the owners. The washer/dryer, patio and garden are all shared with the owners and a tenant who lives in a separate apartment on the first floor.

The owners, Bill and Carolyn, paid a lot of attention to detail as they created a modern oasis in the middle of bustling Central Square, Cambridge.

Just a block away from top-rated restaurants. Also, a block away is the Central Square Theater, home to The Underground Railway Theater and The Nora Theatre Company. The Middle East is renowned for their live music entertainment.

2 grocery stores within a couple of blocks. And, of course, there are the two world-class universities - MIT and Harvard - both within walking distance or one short subway stop away.

Professional cleaners come once a month to do light house cleaning.
