This is a sleek urban condo that perfectly blends style and modern comfort. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom residence offers ~1100 sq. ft. of well-designed living space with central heat and air. The master bedroom has two walk-in closets and the other... bedroom has one. Building amenities include elevator access and enclosed, temperature-controlled parking garage, common areas and a common backyard. It features a spa-like en-suite with a double vanity and a chic, tiled shower equipped with a rain-head featuring a Grohe Smart Valve and cleansing body jets. The gourmet kitchen showcases quartz countertops with waterfall-edge peninsula, counter seating, and a state-of-the-art stainless steel appliance set. There is a dedicated laundry room with additional closet space. Please schedule your showing with me and experience sophisticated urban living at its finest. It is very quiet due to the location of the unit behind the building, that faces a nice open green space, further away from the street. Sunlight will brighten your home during most of the day, thanks to the large windows. The rent depends on the number of people who are going to be living in the unit.
There are lots of community features close to our building such as parks (including the Arboretum!), playgrounds, two baseball fields, a free pool, a free community gym with an indoor basketball court and a walking/running track etc and many more places within walking distance. There is a farmers market from June until November every Saturday in Adams Park where farmers and local businesses sell their produce and goods. Many events are also held throughout the year such as music or food festivals. There are multiple schools within a few minutes walking distance including a Tier 1 BPS school (Sarah Robert Elementary School). The Franklin Park Zoo is about 10 minutes away by car. This is a great place for families with children or people who love being in a good neighborhood because the area has an exceptionally rich set of places that would fulfill many people's and families' needs. If you search for "Roslindale Community Center" on the internet you can learn more about their awesome [free] programs and facilities. There is also a building nearby called The Substation which is a great place for people who want to work outside of the home with a dedicated desk or room but still be close to home. The upper floor of The Substation also hosts many events throughout the year for children and adults.
In addition to many local restaurants and shops, there is a good local bakery in the area named Fornax, which makes bread with natural yeast (I really like their organic bread). There are also local supermarkets that are open until 10 p.m. Stores like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, Roche Bros, Costco, Star Market, BJ's, Best Buy, and Staples are a short drive away (all within 10–20 minutes). You can get to all of them via public transportation. Many other places, such as a Boston Public Library branch, Target, CVS Pharmacy, and Dunkin' Donuts, are all within walking distance (4–5 minutes)
Regarding healthcare, there are several local dental offices owned and operated by great dentists nearby that we recommend. Also, there is a compounding pharmacy name Sullivan Pharmacy within a short walking distance which can build your medications that you or your insurance company would have to pay a lot for or build medications that you can buy without harmful chemicals in them (e.g. artificial or petroleum-based flavors, low-quality capsule shells, etc). Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center (GRMDC) and an Optometry clinic are also located within a short walking distance; we highly recommend GRMDC (at least the pediatricians who work there) due to our positive experience with them. Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital is also located about 10-minutes away by car in case there is an emergency. There are multiple urgent care facilities within a 15-minutes drive.
Driving to MIT after 9:30am takes about 25-30 minutes. If you want to use public transportation to go to MIT it will take 35 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the traffic from the bus stop near the home to Forest Hills station.
You can also take the Commuter Rail (the Needham line -- about 6 minutes away on foot) to go to work. The Commuter Rail train leaves about every hour starting at 5:24am on weekdays to go to South Station and then take the Red line train to MIT.
It takes about 40 minutes to bike to MIT if you bike all the way and about 30 minutes if you bike to Forest Hills station to take the Orange line and get off at Mass Ave station.
